How Semaglutide & Tirzepatide for Weight Loss Work

Finally Medication You Can Count On!

This is a doctor-prescribed all natural medication, that is individually formulated for each patient, called Semaglutide or GLP-1.

When a person takes semaglutide for weight loss, the medication works by mimicking the action of a natural hormone called GLP-1, which is produced in the intestine in response to food intake. Semaglutide binds to GLP-1 receptors in various tissues throughout the body, including the pancreas, stomach, liver, and brain.

Everytime we eat, a specific hormone is naturally released in our body that gives a feeling of fullness.

The primary effect of semaglutide is to increase insulin secretion from the pancreas, which helps to lower blood sugar levels. In addition, semaglutide slows down the emptying of the stomach, which leads to a feeling of fullness and reduced appetite. Semaglutide also affects the hypothalamus in the brain, which is responsible for regulating hunger and satiety. By activating certain neurons in the hypothalamus, semaglutide can decrease hunger, increase feelings of fullness,  and reduce or eliminate cravings, further promoting weight loss.

Moreover, semaglutide has been shown to have additional beneficial effects on the body, such as improving insulin sensitivity, reducing inflammation, and decreasing fatty liver. These effects can contribute to weight loss and overall improvements in metabolic health.

Your body also has a "set point" which is the number on the scale your weight normally hovers around.  The treatment plan creates a new, lower set point after you lose your weight goal amount.

Approximately 70% of American adults are obese or overweight.  Being obese or over weight is a serious health issue associated with some leading causes of death, including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, and is linked to an increases risk if certain types of cancer.

Losing 5% to 10% of body weight through diet and exercise has been associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease in adult patients with obesity or overweight.

It's Not Your Fault You are Overweight!

We've all been there, diet after diet and no permanent weight loss.  You've tried Keto, Paleo, meal plans, online diets, raw food, vegan, vegetarian, blood type, detox, liquid, fasting, low-calorie, low-carb, and low- fat.  Even gastric band surgery isn't always successful.

Food companies are allowed to add ingredients that make your food taste better, but can ultimately be causing weight gain or hormonal imbalances.  Some of these include: high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, monosodium glutamate, and BPA are just a few.

We can help put you on the right path, with the right tools to help you finally succeed in your weight loss journey!

Semaglutide is indicated for chronic weight management in patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 kg/m2 or greater who have at least one weight-related ailment such as high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol or in patients with a BMI of 30 kg/m2 or greater.

Those with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)  Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 , prior serious hypersensitivity reaction to semaglutide or pancreatitis, may be disqualified from taking the medication.

What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) analog.  GLP-1 is a hormone produced in the small intestine that stimulates insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon secretion, thereby lowering blood sugar.

Studies show that semaglutide reduces appetite, improves control of eating, and reduces food cravings in addition to improving glycemic control.

Tirzepatide, what is it?

What makes Tirzepatide different from Semaglutide?

It's the first combination of 2 classes of medications, the GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist which are both incretin hormones that are released after food intake.

Both GIP and GLP-1 receptors are found in areas of the human brain important for appetite regulation. Tirzepatide has been shown to decrease food intake and modulate fat utilization.

What makes Tirzepatide different from Semaglutide?

Tirzepatide works by mimicking both of these receptor agonists, which includes processes like alerting the pancreas to stop releasing insulin after eating and sending signals to the liver to decrease glucose levels.

In turn, this not only helps you feel fuller for longer but it slows down digestion, and aids in glycemic control, which all lead to weight loss and weight management.
